Valley of the Sun United Way has put together a Voting Guide to help prepare you for the upcoming elections.
Participating jurisdictions of Tempe and Litchfield Park will hold a "Ballot by Mail" election. All qualified voters will be sent a ballot. Voters can return it by mail, drop it off at a secure ballot drop box or voting location, or fill in a replacement ballot in person.
Ballot measures are unique to the participating jurisdictions.
February 12: Voter registration deadline. Check your voter registration here.
February 14: Ballots mailed & drop boxes available. Drop box locations to be determined.
March 4: Tempe ballot replacement center opens.
March 5: Last day to mail ballot
March 12: Litchfield Park ballot replacement center open
March 12: Election Day! Ballots must be returned to a drop box or voting location by 7 p.m.
The Presidential Preference Election (PPE) allows voters registered with the Republican or Democratic party to choose their registered party's candidate. Voters can vote in person, or if they are on the Active Early Voting List and receive a ballot by mail they have the options to return it by mail, drop it off at a drop box or voting location, or fill out a replacement ballot in person.
A list of candidates is available through the Arizona Secretary of State's office.
February 20: Voter registration deadline

February 21: Early ballots mailed, and early voting begins
March 8: Last day to request an early ballot
March 12: Last day to mail back your ballot
March 19: Election day! Ballots must be returned to a drop box or voting location by 7 p.m.
If you wish to cast your vote by mail, you can return your signed ballot with the pre-addressed envelope to any mailbox by the mail in deadline listed on your ballot.
Prefer to vote in-person? You can either drop-off your completed ballot, or cast a replacement ballot at an in-person location on election day. Voters must bring a valid government ID to vote in-person.
All voting locations are equipped with accessible voting devices as well as curbside voting for those who are unable to leave their vehicle due to physical limitations. For more information, contact the Maricopa County Elections office.
All Voting Centers are open from 6 a.m. - 7 p.m on Election Day.
Voter Registration Applications must be completed 29 days prior to the election.
If you have a valid Arizona Driver’s license or ID card, you can register to vote online.

2. Under ‘Registration’, click 'Register to Vote'
3. Follow the steps to verify you are eligible
4. Enter all your information
5. Select your party preference

After you have successfully registered to vote you will receive a voter registration card in the mail within 4-6 weeks. That can be used as a form of ID at the polls.
