Project Connect

Being homeless is hard. Unfortunately, so is overcoming homelessness.

The red tape someone must navigate to resolve such a crisis can seem impossible. These individuals may have the will to work hard to regain their independence – but they have no resources, no transportation. Once an individual is on the brink of homelessness or is actually homeless, it can be an extraordinary challenge to overcome. And on any given day, this challenge is being faced by thousands of people in our community.

Valley of the Sun United Way started Project Connect to bring together a broad range of vital health and human services to a single accessible location.  These critical resources are provided at a different Valley location each month to broaden their reach and scope.

On Our Way

More than 13,000 individuals have been helped by Project Connect since its launch in June 2008. Our volunteers play a crucial role, acting as guides and working one-on-one with guests to help them make the most of the services on site.

You can help End Homelessness in Maricopa County:

  • GIVE:  Your gift directly to United Way empowers us to provide the resources and tools these individuals need to recover from homelessness.
  • VOLUNTEER: You can help by serving as a guest guide at our monthly Project Connect.
  • ADVOCATE:  Share our information and resources with your friends, family and colleagues.
