Arizona Veteran's StandDown - Friday
2012-02-03Valley of the Sun United Way is proud to partner with the Arizona Veterans StandDown Coalition by providing Project Connect volunteers to serve as guest guides for the 11th Annual Arizona StandDown.
Arizona StandDown Brings together Arizona's veterans who are currently experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. During the three-day event, veterans are connected with services to help them gain independence, including healthcare, mental health services, clothing, meals, emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing, ID/Drivers License's, court services and legal aide, showers and haircuts and a myriad of other services and resources. Project Connect guest guides will be on hand to provide support by working one-on-one with guests to escort them through the array of service providers available on site.
