Company Spotlight - AGIA, Harland Clarke, PCL Construction
December 15, 2009
AGIA
AGIA introduced a Rock and Roll theme for its 2009 Valley of the Sun United Way campaign and hosted a variety of activities, including an Ice Cream Float Day, Bake Sales, Pie Eating contests, Look-A-Like contests, a company lunch, and its annual Talent Show. In addition, employees were entertained by co-workers at AGIA's Tommy Rocket's Lounge where acts performed music and dances from the 50s and 60s. All proceeds from these events were donated toward AGIA's campaign goal. A key to AGIA’s successful campaign was embracing an environment that allowed employees to be hands-on while enjoying a fun work week in support of a great cause. Thank you to AGIA for its commitment to Valley of the Sun United Way and our community.
Harland Clarke
Employee Campaign Manager Clarissa Allen successfully led the 2009 Valley of the Sun United Way campaign for Harland Clarke. Boasting a football theme, the first all-employee meetings at Harland Clarke were complete with United Way partner agency representatives, informational presentations, and fabulous treats like popcorn and soda. During the next four weeks, team leaders held employee “huddles” using games and puzzles to introduce the four major building blocks of United Way’s commitment to our community. Finally, the “tailgate party” featured personal stories from employees who participated in a tour of Central Arizona Social Services Campus, a video message from Harland Clarke leadership supporting the work of Valley of the Sun United Way, and a special treat of hot dogs and nachos. Congratulations Harland Clarke on a great 2009 campaign.
