Valley of the Sun United Way’s Financial Stability Partnership brings together financial institutions and local nonprofits to provide quality financial education and raise awareness about the benefits of account ownership in the communities that need it most.

The Partnership is a pilot project active in two Valley neighborhoods, Central City South and Golden Gate, and combines financial education with access to low-cost, mainstream bank products like a savings or checking account to help place individuals on a more stable financial path.

Understanding that the path to financial stability isn’t always a straight one, the Partnership also serves to increase the capacity of local non-profits to address the financial stability of individuals and families right in their neighborhood, which will help strengthen the community as a whole.

Key partners for this pilot include U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, Chase and Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, Arizona Saves, Friendly House and Arizona Children’s Association.
