Changes to AHCCCS May Impact You.

Each year, thousands of Arizonans lose their Medicaid (AHCCCS) and other benefits because they don't get around to renewing their coverage on time.

In the past, there were few disadvantages for forgetting to renew. However, due to planned changes to AHCCCS, failure to renew may cause some AHCCCS members to lose coverage and they may be prevented from re-apply.

AHCCCS has announced an enrollment freeze for adults without children. After July 1, 2011, no new adults without children will be accepted.

These changes could affect many individuals and families Valley of the Sun United Way works so hard to connect to programs and services as part of our efforts to help get people back on their feet to become self-sufficient. It's important for Arizonans to be aware of the general changes regarding AHCCCS eligibility.
