An Arizona that Cares Starts with You.
Planned budget cuts will eliminate vital programs for the most vulnerable among us - children, elderly and the disabled. The $153 million in cuts to the State budget last year have already had devastating impact:
- 4,000 children lost all or some services to remain safely at home
- 1,100 individuals experiencing homelessness no longer receive shelter services
- 261,000 residents do not have sufficient resources to acquire food for the next three days
What is equally troubling is the increased need in food, shelter and services among a broader group of Arizonans – people like your friends, family and co-workers.
The time to help our neighbors in need is now. Please join Valley of the Sun United Way in speaking up for a responsible State budget.
