The City of Glendale has gained national recognition as a sporting destination through its local sports teams and the recent success of Super Bowl 2008. More significantly, the city and its employees should be acknowledged for the success of their annual Valley of the Sun United Way campaign. Each year, city employees step up to create a better future for the community and 2008 was no exception. With their “Teaming Up For Our Community” theme, city employees grew their United Way campaign by nearly 19 percent.  Thank you and congratulations to the City of Glendale for their winning efforts to improve the quality of life in our community.
